On November 8th 2013 ESB (The Endorsement and Quality Standards Board for Community Development Learning in England) met with its counterparts the Community Development Endorsement Forum for Wales, the All Ireland Endorsing Body for Community Work, and the Community Development and Learning Council for Scotland. The aim of the meeting was to explore common areas of interest and concern and one of the main areas is international work. Each Board described some of their international links and projects and ESB explained about the development and progress of SLIC. We shared the newsletters that have been produced so far and used the material on the ESB web site to explain some of the details about partners and the learning that is being generated. All the organisations were very interested in the project and this is leading to discussions about new partnerships for future international work and hopefully some papers to be presented at the IACD conference which is in Glasgow next year.
